Our Services

Occupational Therapy services provide physical, cognitive, emotional and psychosocial treatments to individuals. These treatments can include therapeutic exercises, neurodevelopmental techniques, sensory integration and processing strategies and therapeutic activities. The individualized plan of care is designed to optimize a person’s abilities and create an atmosphere for success. At Silver Lining Therapy we believe that improving function can be fun no matter what age you are.
What is Hippotherapy?
Hippotherapy is the use of equine movement as part of an integrative occupational therapy treatment plan. Research has shown that horses move in patterns similar to typical human walking and can impart a powerful sensorimotor experience to the client to affect their balance, strength, sensory regulation, visual and vestibular flow and flexibility. This high quality, rhythmic movement can help with emotional and cognitive issues to decrease anxiety and improve focus, attention and memory. A wide variety of people and diagnoses may benefit from the use of a comprehensive treatment plan including hippotherapy.
